COMMUNITY
Neighborhood Church is a vital, active community with many different ways to get involved! Take a look at some of the groups listed below and see where your heart and mind fit. Questions? Contact a staff member from the church and we’ll help you find your spot!
Get all of the meeting dates and times by subscribing to our newsletter here and checking out the calendar here. You’ll also find information in the weekly announcements handed out on Sundays with the order of service.
Chalice Circles
Chalice Circles are fellowship groups that meet every month to discuss UU topics and share life’s experiences.
DeBenneville Pines
Camp de Benneville Pines is a UUA-affiliated camp in the San Bernardino Mountains about 90 miles east of Los Angeles. Neighborhood Church schedules two weekend retreats for members and friends (one in summer and then again in winter), but many other UU-based retreats and workshops are held throughout the year.
Click here to access the registration form. Please print it, fill it out, and send to the address requested in the form. The Winter Retreat runs from February 28 - March 1, 2020.
Dining for Dollars
Dining For Dollars is a fundraiser that lets members and friends bid for the chance to attend a meal or event hosted by other members. It’s a fun way to help the church raise money while meeting new people and trying new things! All proceeds benefit the church.
People of Color
People of Color is a group designed for its members to support one another, learn from one another, and discuss issues of diversity, including ways that Neighborhood Church can be more inviting to people of color. You’ll also get the chance to participate in the church’s annual Juneteenth Celebration.
