Live Christmas Eve Service: “I Believe”

In Cologne, Germany, during WWII a Jew hiding in a basement from Nazi persecution scratched these words on the walls: “I believe in the sun even when it’s not shining. I believe in love even when I don’t feel it. I believe in God even when God is silent.” Mark Miller turned these moving words into a glorious anthem which the choir will perform during our service. If someone in such terrible circumstances can still believe, how can we not assert our beliefs as well? The Christmas story celebrates the birth not just of a babe in the manger but also the rebirth of hope in the darkest of times. Please join our multigenerational service of carols, story-telling, candle lighting and reflections on this season of hope. And have a candle ready for the end of the service.
